The time it was about Dream a Little Dream

I found Kerstin Gier’s Ruby Red trilogy on accident, but absolutely loved them.  When I saw that Kerstin had written a new book, I couldn’t wait to get my greedy hands on it. And when I got the invite from Macmillan to be part of the blog tour, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

DreamLittleDream BlogTourBannerBefore we get to the interview with Kerstin, let’s check out the book!

21469090Mysterious doors with lizard-head knobs. Talking stone statues. A crazy girl with a hatchet. Yep, Liv’s dreams have been pretty weird lately. Especially this one where she’s in a graveyard at night, watching four boys perform dark magic rituals.

The really weird thing is that Liv recognizes the boys in her dream. They’re classmates from her new school in London, the school where’s she’s starting over because her mom has moved them to a new country (again). But they seem to know things about her in real life that they couldn’t possibly know, which is mystifying. Then again, Liv could never resist a good mystery. . . .

Sounds good, right?

right

1. Where did the idea for Dream a Little Dream come from?

Believe it or not – It really came to me in a dream!

2. Why do you love Liv and why should we root for her?

I like Liv because she is so quick-witted and brave. Sometimes I wish I was a little more like Liv but on the other hand I am happy with my quiet life J

3. Without spoilers, is there anything you had to cut from the book that you wished you could have kept?

No, luckily my publisher liked the story as I wrote it. But in Poland the book has not been published, they don’t like demons in books for young adults.

4. Describe Dream a Little Dream in 5 words.

Mystical, romantic, exciting, funny…what else?!

5. You can only read one book for the rest of your life. What is it?

That would be terrible. I love reading but whatever book that would be, it would annoy me after the 100th time of reading ;-)

  1. As sad as it sounds I think my last dream was actually about work… Maybe you could call it a nightmare really. I dream almost every night but within moments of waking up I can feel the memory slipping away.

I’m always dreaming about saving baby animals. My last dream was a tiny puppy in an alley. My mom says I must want a baby but I’m pretty sure I just want a puppy! Lol!

  3. Oh man I think the last dream I had was about these guys that were chasing me and I had the ability to transform into a pelican.. I really don’t know why I had that dream and it was sooo weird!

My oldest daughter being late for school. She gets up after the rest of us leave the house and drives herself. This is pretty scary! So far the only day she didn’t wake up on time was a day I was home with a migraine and was able to wake her up on time. i guess that is what triggered my dream…

  5. Going to the building for my current work, but inside is my old workplace and my ex is somehow my new boss, but he doesn’t know me. I guess this would also qualify as a nightmare! Thanks for another wonderful contest. :)
