I think everyone knows of my dying love and devotion for Kasie West, right? She is definitely one of my favorite people {and authors}, so when I got the email asking if I wanted to help reveal the cover, I responded with shouty caps.

I’ll now turn this over to Kasie… Let’s welcome her to the blog!

Hello!! Kasie West here! Thank you Stacee for hosting me today and thank you readers for wanting to see my cover! And I’d love to tell you about what else you’ll find in this blog post.

    2. A summary of the book
    3. An extended scene from ON THE FENCE (not found in the book!)
    4. A raffle! You can win an ARC of PS I LIKE YOU (I don’t have ARCs yet, but as soon as I do, I will award this prize)

Summary:

Signed, sealed, delivered . . .

While zoning out in Chemistry class, Lily scribbles some of her favorite song lyrics onto her desk. The next day, she finds that someone has continued the lyrics on the desk, and added a message to her.

Soon, Lily and her anonymous pen pal are exchanging full-on letters— sharing secrets, recommending bands, and opening up to each other. Lily realizes she’s kind of falling for this letter writer. Only who is he?  As Lily attempts to unravel the mystery, and juggle school, friends, crushes, and her crazy family, she discovers that matters of the heart can’t always be spelled out . . .

Kasie West brings irresistible wit, warmth, and sparkle to this swoon-worthy story of love showing up when you least expect it.

I hope you’re as excited to read this book, as I am to publish it. I can’t give you any more of PS I LIKE YOU right now, but I’d love to share an extended scene from a previous book.

At the end of On The Fence (if you haven’t read OTF you might just want to skip straight down to the raffle entry because this would be a big spoiler) after Braden tells Charlie he likes her, he mentions having told her brother. This isn’t a complete scene (meaning no inner thoughts or actions) but just a skeleton of how I imagine the conversation between Braden and Gage going:

“So you don’t like Amber?” Gage asked Braden for the third time. “Because if not, she’s fair game.”

“Isn’t everyone fair game for you?”

“Yes. But you get best friend considerations.”

“Meaning you’ll think about me for one second before you flirt with her?” Braden said.

“Pretty much.”

“Nice.”

Gage sighed. “I know she has a thing for you so it might take me a little longer than normal to win her over.”

“I don’t time your wins, dude. No need for disclaimers.”

“Just wanted to make sure there would be no resistance from your side.”

“There will be the opposite of resistance from my side.” Braden assured him.

“Why?”

“Why what?”

“Why don’t you like Amber?”

“I don’t know. She’s not my type.”

“Not your type? She’s everyone’s type.”

“I know you like anyone without a Y chromosome, but some of us are more discerning.”

“I thought about getting offended for a second.”

“And then?”

“Then I realized it was mostly true.”

Braden laughed.

“What is your type?”

“Someone more athletic.”

“Like my sister.”

“Yes. No! I mean no.”

“That’s what I thought. Seriously, what is your problem? That’s my baby sister.”

“She’s sixteen. Far from a baby.”

“I thought you were my best friend.”

“I am.”

“You know this will ruin everything. She doesn’t feel the same way back.”

“I know.”

“That’s why you won’t tell her or you’ll have me to answer to.”

“I won’t tell her.”

“Good. Then we can still be friends.”

“Good.”

“Because I know that you’d die without me.”

“Twice. I’d die twice.”

“At least.”

I love Gage. He was so fun to write while I drafted On The Fence. He would always lighten up a scene or situation. When he was in a scene, it made the scene so much easier to write. So he ended up getting a bigger role in the book than I originally intended because when I was stuck I would be like, where is Gage?

Anyway, thank you for reading, now you should enter a raffle for an ARC.

With the art of letter writing long gone as the smart phone came to the forefront, I absolutely love this old-school concept. The cover is adorable too, with the mustache and the lips – very on trend right now. Love this author, can’t get enough of her!!

I LOVE her books and this new cover!! On the Fence is my favorite. Why? Four words: older brother’s best friend. Oh, Braden. *sigh* The bonus scene is perfect and very Gage. Let’s hope for a future book where Gage settles down with that special someone “without a Y chromosome”.

To the owner of this blog:

I’m so excited for P.S. I Like You! I bet this book will have more fun conversations, like this scene of Braden & Gage. Cause that’s what I love from Kasie West’s books. She couldn’t write boring conversations :)

I loved On The Fence! I could relate so much being an only girl with four brothers. Can’t wait for the new book!!

  21. Hana

Kasie West’s books are always so fun and cute and fluffy but with dark undertones which she handles really well. I’m really want to read a contemporary by her rn but I’ve already read all of them. Oops.

  22. I like the simplicity of it. I think it’s very cute and just looks like a really fun read, plus those lip and mustache pictures in front of their face is really cute and I want to know if it has to do with something in the book.

  23. Sam

I love the cover! It looks simple just like all her other books but still gives this impact that it deserves to be read! :))

  24. Karin S

The cover is adorable :) I absolutely love the outfits they are wearing and the cute prints on the papers

  25. Talia

I love this cover! It’s so cute and fun- just like all the rest of the covers of her books. I love how adorable all her books are, and how likeable the characters are.

  26. Cuuuute! I love her outfit – I could see myself wearing something like that. I’m not really a YA contemporary person, but I loved Kasie’s three contemporary (and her paranormal duo!), so I have complete faith in her! <3

Braden! Possibly my favorite Kasie West dude? Maybe a tie with Hayden. Or Xander. Gosh, all of them! :D

    Thank you!
