Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s topic is: Top Ten Books I’ve Recently Added to my TBR. For this one, I just went to my Goodreads to-read shelf and took the last ten added because that was the easiest thing to do.

1. Rebel of the Sands by Alywn Hamilton — I’ve heard lots of people talking about this book and at first I was a bit wary because I’m so picky about fantasy.  I have since caved because hello female gunslinger MC.

2. The First Time She Drowned by Kerry Kletter — I just found this in my TBR and am going to start reading it soon.  I don’t normally do angsty contemporaries, but I’ve heard good things.  Plus, Jennifer Niven blurbed it.

3. The Moth and the Flame by Renée Ahdieh — I will read anything Renée puts out, especially in this world.  I’m so so so excited for these two novellas that we’re getting.  It’s definitely going to help the extra long wait for The Rose and the Dagger. {Obviously that’s not the cover, but one hasn’t been released yet.  Besides the cover for Wrath is goregous.}

4. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare — I haven’t read any of Cassandra’s books besides City of Bones and I wasn’t too impressed by it, even though it has a rabid following.  I’ve heard The Infernal Devices series is amazing, but haven’t tried any of them.  I was sucked in by this cover and might just skip everything and start here.

5. The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye — Magic + Russia + maybe a romance = count me in. Also, hello gorgeous cover.

6. The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge — I just got approved for this book and it sounds really unique.  I doubt I’ll be waiting very long before I dive in.

7. Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel — As soon as I saw the tagline that it was World War Z and {enter anything}, I was going to want it.  I was thrilled to get approved for it.  It will be the first “adult” sci-fi book I’ve read, so hopefully I’ll be able to keep up.

8. The Telling by Alexandra Sirowy — I was intrigued by the cover and sold by the synopsis. It sounds like my kind of mindfuckery.

9. All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda — I really enjoyed Megan’s YA duology, so when I saw that she had written an “adult” novel, I was instantly eager for it.  I can’t wait to see what sort of suspense she’ll create.

10. The Geek’s Guide to Unrequited Love by Sarvenaz Tash — I loved Sarvenaz’s other book about Woodstock, so I was thrilled to see that she was tackling comic-con.  I’m sure I’ll be reading this well before it’s scheduled.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I did cheat on this just a bit.  There were some books added for series that are no where near close to coming out.
What were the latest books you added to your TBR?  Which one are you most excited for?
      Yay!! I hope you enjoy both!! I’m really excited for Rebel and Crown, I’m enjoying fantasy a bit more, so I can’t wait to see what those two bring to the genre.
      I rarely read YA sci-fi, adult sci-fi sort of freaks me out. Good luck with it!!
  1. I really looking forward to Lady midnight by Cassandra Clare. Read The Mortal Instruments, was never a big fan of that series. But love the last book and we meet Emma & Julian in that book, which is the characters in Lady midnight. So can`t wait to see more of them and how they turn out when they grow more up. I love The Infernal Devices, one of my favorite series ever. Aww William Herondale, one of my favorite book boyfriend <3
      Wrath was one of my favorites of 2015. Actually, I think it was a favorite of 2014 because I read it early. I hope you enjoy it!
      Have you read Rebel? Whenever everyone LOVES a book, it makes me wary of reading it. I hope it will live up to the hype. I hope you enjoy The Lie Tree.
      Thanks for reading and commenting!
      • I have not read Rebel Sands, I probably won’t because it isn’t my cup of tea, but all of the bloggers I follow regularly have really liked/loved it. I don’t read very many of the more popular ARCs, so I have to rely on their reviews. None of them are afraid to black sheep a book, so I feel pretty good reccomnding titles they like.
