The time it was Top Ten Tuesday {12}

Posted June 28, 2016 by Stacee in Top Ten Tuesday / 16 Comments

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

Today’s topic is a freebie and since I haven’t done a TTT in a while, I’m going to go with Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For The Second Half Of The Year.

4 2 3 4 5

1. The Architect of Song by AG Howard — I’m sort of cheating on this one because I was able to read it over a year ago.  It’s getting released in August and I can’t wait to pet that gorgeous cover.  And yes, Lord Thornton is mine.

2. The Graces by Laure Eve — I just got this one sent to me and I’m so in love with the cover.  Add in that synopsis of magic and witches and the possibility of high society girls and I’m sold.

3. The Women in the Walls by Amy Lukavics — I read and loved Amy’s first book and I can’t wait to see what sort of creepy fuckery she’ll come up with in this one.  I heard her talk about it when I saw her at a signing and it sounded awesome.

4. Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco — You had me at “Jack the Ripper”.

5. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor  — Does this even need an explanation?

6. I’m Not Your Manic Pixie Dream Girl by Gretchen McNeil — Gretchen is my horror queen and definitely an auto-buy author. This is the {according to Goodreads} “first realistic contemporary romance” and I can’t even wait to see what she comes up with when there’s not a body count as part of the plot.

7. Ghostly Echoes by William Ritter –I read the first two book of this series on a whim and really loved them.  I don’t know if this is the last book or if there will be more, but either way, I’ll read whatever is set in this world.

8. When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore — After devouring Anna-Marie’s magical debut, she’s become an author for me to watch. Honestly, I haven’t even read the synopsis…her name and that cover, I’m in.

9. All in Pieces by Suzanne Young –Suzanne could publish her grocery list and I would read it.

10. This is Our Story by Ashley Elston –This is another one that I’m cheating with.  I’ve already read it because Ashley spoils me, but I can’t wait to read it again closer to release and properly review it. And look at that cover.

So what about you? What is your most anticipated release for the second half of the year?

Amy’s first book was so so so good. She said it was like if Little House on the Prairie was redone by Stephen King and that absolutely accurate. I loved it.

      Thanks for reading and commenting!

  1. Well… YOU KNOW I AM GOING TO READ THE ARCHITECT OF SONG! I have had When the Moon Was Ours on my tbr for a while now. I don’t remember where I saw it. It may have even been here. Maybe? I have Jackaby and Beastly Bones as both ARCs and ebooks and I haven’t read them yet, so I am ashamed. I saw The Graces on a vlog a couple of weeks ago and I think I added it to my Goodreads tbr. I should probably check to make sure. The Woman In the Walls, and I’m Not Your Manic Pixie Dream Girl sound good too. There are so many interesting books coming out. Thanks for the list!

I have to admit, I love a bit of creepy horror. I’m really excited about The Woman in the Walls. I can’t wait to see what you think of it!! ~Rachel

RACHEL!!! I read Amy’s first book because Gretchen blurbed it and said it was something she wished she had written. I’ll read anything Gretchen loves.

I hope all is well with you!
