You guys.  I can’t even believe that it’s December.  Where has the year gone? I swear, it feels like I was just drafting the recap for October.

In November, I read a total of 29 books. {Click on the covers for my review on GR}

I got to beta read The Hummingbird Heart by AG Howard {Julian is totally mine} and got an early copy of Throwing my Life Away by Liz Czukas {thank you, Liz}, so those aren’t up there because they don’t have covers.

I did DNF a couple this month, so I know that doesn’t actually count, but whatever.  I’m also 4 books behind on my challenge, but 35 away from meeting it.  If I make it, it means I’ve read the equivalent of a book a day.  It still seems a bit daunting, but I’m going to try my hardest to hit that number.

Macmillan sent me a finished copy of Heartless and it’s so pretty naked.  I also got Dark Days Pact and We Are Okay {both are amazing} and a friend from London picked up all three of the UK covers of Three Dark Crowns.  And Abrams sent me Maresi, which sounds pretty awesome.

A successful books for trade brought me the UK arc of Holding Up the Universe. {I’m a little bummed it’s missing Jack’s letter on the front, so I might keep looking.}  A trip to kill time at Barnes and Noble meant I got the P+P+Z funkos.  Annnnnnd Allison spoiled me with surprising me with the copy of ATBP that she bought for herself while in Japan.

  • Jennifer Niven answered my call to books for trade by telling me she was at her UK publisher and got me my number 1 holy grail arc. I seriously lost my shit and shouty caps tweeted her and her UK publicity person.
  • My lovely friend {and favorite MG employee} Rob gave me this statue of my favorite painting from the Haunted Mansion.
  • Disney reposted one of my photos and again, I lost my shit.

  • Fangirling over: Leigh Bardugo and Gretchen McNeil {for Mysterious Galaxy’s Holiday Party}, Jennifer Niven and Jay Asher, and there’s a slight chance I’ll be going to see Anne Rice.
  • Interviewing: Erin Summerill for Ever the Hunted
  • Reading Rewind: I haven’t decided what I’m going to read yet.
  • Discussion post: Yes? Probably. Who knows. I just had a great idea for a topic, but I didn’t write it down and now I can’t remember.
  • Friday Favorites: I’ve been sending out emails and people aren’t responding, so I don’t know how many, but definitely one for sure.
  • Special stuff: I will be participating in the Top 10 of 2016 this year put on by Tales from a Ravenous Reader and Two Chicks on Books.  I did it last year and had so much fun.  I will be having a daily giveaway for each prompt, so make sure you check it out.  Better yet, you should join in!

  1. Wow! Sounds like an awesome month. I can only dream that one day I’ll be able to read that much each month! I love, love, love The Falconer series so far and I’m absolutely dying to get my hands on a copy of the third book!! (DID YOU ENJOY IT?! TELL ME IT WAS AMAZING.)

    I’m sitting here freaking out on your behalf over the Disney and Jennifer Niven thing too. That’s amazing!

      IT WAS DEFINITELY AMAZING. There was one thing at the ending that I wasn’t happy with because it was vague closure, but I seriously loved the entire series. I’m so thrilled I was able to binge it.

  2. Your November read list is both a) SO MASSIVE and b) is full of books I’m desperate to get my hands on! I’m so jealous of Hunted, Traitor to the Throne, the Falconer sequels, and Strange the Dreamer.

    I didn’t do much this November. Exams and starting clinical rotations immediately after meant I didn’t have much reading time :(

    I hope your December is just as amazing!

  3. Of Fire and Stars ended up imploding for me and I only gave it two stars. :(

    I will be doing my first Reading Rewind next month! I am going to think of three books and ask for votes on my The Monthly Mash. I am hoping to do one a month. I will be giving you credit of course, and a link to your blog. :)

    I can’t wait to see your Top 10 posts. I am going to do the End Of Year Survey again this year. I did the Top 10 two years ago and doing all the posts fried my brain. Ha ha. Maybe next year I can plan ahead for it.
