The time it was Friday Favorites {9}

Here we are for another installment of Friday Favorites! Today’s guest is someone I’ve known for a while.  We met in line at a Stephenie Meyer event and have stayed in touch ever since. And I’m thrilled to have her on the blog.

Tell us 3 random facts about you:

  1. I don’t like people, socializing, or public speaking.
  2. I LOVE TO TRAVEL. I travel frequently and I’m so thankful for my work for allowing me to take off time.
  3. I work with children with special needs. I absolutely love working with children especially little ones. I have been working with children with autism for about 2.5 years now.
  4. {WHY NOT INCLUDE NUMBER 4} I’m teaching myself how to read, speak, and understand Korean. It is SO HARD but so much fun.

What book world would you want to live in? I think I would pick Harry Potter. I love everything about the Harry Potter universe and who wouldn’t want to go to a school of magic?! I also really love Snape! I hate how he taught his students, but he has always been my favorite character. I have yet to see Fantastic Beasts… movies are just so expensive.

Favorites

Author: Sarah Dessen and Morgan Matson. I can’t pick just one… so I narrowed it down to two. And that hurts…. because… I have lots of favorites. These two authors are my favorite YA authors because they are some of the first ones that I discovered when I started reading YA. I highly recommend their books if you haven’t read them already.

Book: Oh, gosh. I have no idea… If I really had to pick I think it would be The Truth About Forever. It is my most re-read book other than the Harry Potter series.

Movie/tv show: My favorite show right now is Your Lie in April. It’s an anime and I’m obsessed. It is so good and so sad. It is only one season and will break your heart into pieces… but it is worth it. I also just started watching Korean dramas and my favorite is Pinocchio. The first episode is very emotional. And Lee Jong-suk is freaking adorable.

Band: I don’t really listen to music… other than just putting on the radio. But my favorite bands that I listen to most often on my phone are Pentatonix and Us the Duo. I love listening to acapella and these two bands are so good. I went to see them in concert.

Blog: Okay so I don’t really read a lot of blogs… other than Twirlingpages. I just don’t have a lot of time to browse through blogs in my free time. I would rather use my free time to read books than read blogs. I love Stacee’s blog for recaps!

Instagram account: Twirlingpages. I absolutely love Xan’s account. It’s so aesthetic. Xan is such a nice person too.

What is your favorite blog post and/or instagram photo from your account? My favorite blog posts are my monthly wrap-ups. I love being able to look back on my reading progress/books bought/accomplishments from the month. They are a lot of fun to write.

I also really enjoy making my monthly release blog posts where I compile most of the monthly YA releases in one post.
